Living Areas

Decorated in flashes of contemporary colour blended with more traditional colonial flair, Villa Eden visually seduces guests from the minute they walk in the door. The eclectic theme stretches throughout the villa, around the open-sided living room, across the 2 bedrooms on the ground floor and the master suite upstairs. It doesn’t stop there either, and the whimsical style gracefully encompasses the striking infinity pool, the extensive tiered decking and even spreads across the rambling jungle to the private treehouse suite.

The main living and dining area have a variety of comfortable seating, from Victorian-style window seats to modern comfortable sofas. There is also an elegant wooden dining table which will comfortably seat eight people for a delicious meal, served by the lovely staff. This area is open to the stunning view over the infinity pool and unspoiled jungle. Just adjacent to this open plan space is a small enclosed, air-conditioned media room with a TV/DVD player which is perfect for curling up and watching a movie.

A fully equipped, contemporary kitchen lies to the rear, kept separate from the living area but with a large serving hatch for your convenience. This has everything you might need to cater for your stay although as the house is manned by your own cook who produces both local and western favourites from a separately priced menu, there is really no need to be cooking for yourself.
One of the many things that make this villa so special is the wonderful uninterrupted rice field views and divine exotic gardens. An impressive 18-metre infinity pool appears to magically float out over a million different shades of green. The turquoise waters simply invite you to indulge in lazy afternoons punctuated by sunning yourself on the large double loungers at the water’s edge.

The extensive sun deck opens up onto a spacious alfresco living/dining area. This is usually configured with a 10 seater dining table and comfortable sofas under the shade of an open-sided pavilion. However, this area could potentially be transformed into a yoga shala or used as an area with dining for many guests. A staircase descends to another smaller level of decking and down another staircase to the soft greenery of the manicured garden

Accommodation

The master bedroom is located on the first floor of the main house and features a double bed, a dressing area, and an ensuite shower room. Outside the room is a sizable balcony with louvred shutters a couple of sofas and a large day bed. Whether you choose to have a private breakfast overlooking the crystalline waters of the large infinity pool or indulge in a late afternoon massage, this is the most gorgeous of locations. Additionally across the hall is a small room which can be used as a child’s bedroom.

Bedroom 1 is on the ground floor and is an opulently decorated with large mirrors and very spacious. This room comprises a comfortable double bed with mosquito netting, plentiful storage, and a flat-screen TV. To the rear of the bed is a dressing room which then leads out into a large ensuite with a terrazzo tub.

Bedroom 2 is also on the ground floor and is smaller than the others but still furnished with a double canopy bed and delightfully highlighted in tones of pink. This has its own large ensuite shower room with a dressing area.

Tree House

The tree house is literally a self-contained studio apartment and is reached by a private wooden staircase which passes a deep ravine with a waterfall. This area has been beautifully planted to reflect the lushness of the tropical landscape and provide treehouse dwellers with both privacy and the most fabulous of views.

Guests enter a lovely airy room with a high Alang Alang ceiling configured with a four-poster bed, a large sofa and a TV area. Outside is a large balcony with seating which is a wonderful place for a romantic breakfast. To the rear is a small kitchenette with a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and there is also a separate spacious dressing area with plenty of storage.

The large bathroom runs more or less the length of the room and is glass sided with views over the splendid outdoors. There are blinds for privacy, a large double vanity unit, and a gorgeous stone bathtub.

Staff

Villa Eden has a complete compliment of charming Balinese staff including a cook, a driver, and housekeeping. They are an integral part of the very special experience that guests are guaranteed when they stay here.

Location

Villa Eden is located in the spectacular countryside of Kaba Kaba, about 15 minutes away from Canggu on the way to Tanah Lot. Canggu is one of the trendiest areas of Bali and has a countless number of wonderful restaurants including BBQ at Echo Beach, Beetlenut Cafe, One Eyed Jacks, Macan Café and Deus Ex Machina. There is also a new concept spa called Ammo with steam rooms plunge pools and a jacuzzi overlooking the rice paddies as well as Serenity and Samadi yoga shalas with daily classes for all levels.

Tanah Lot is one of the most visited attractions in Bali and is the sight of a stunning water temple, worshipped for centuries by the Balinese. There are also some fantastic bargains to be had at the art market here. For more shopping options venture the 30 minutes or so into central Seminyak. Additionally, the nearest beach is about a 10-minute drive away at Seseh, this is a quiet and peaceful stretch of black sand with a little-used surf break.
